About Us
Body Solutions Electrolysis & Training Center has been part of the Rochester, MN community since 1990. In 2020, Heidi became the proud owner after years of mentorship, hands-on training, and working closely with the founder. We're still a family-owned business today, and we’ve continued the same welcoming, client-focused care the business was built on.
In addition to providing expert electrolysis services, we also operate a licensed training center. Our school was founded in the early '90s and has helped many students become confident, skilled electrologists. When Heidi took over, she completed additional training in California to become a certified instructor and now leads our hands-on, small-group classes with care and attention.
A fun fact about us—both Heidi and Ella were introduced to electrolysis as clients. We were searching for solutions ourselves, and after seeing how life-changing electrolysis could be, we decided to turn that experience into our profession. We know firsthand what it’s like to be in the treatment chair, and that perspective drives our passion to help others feel confident and supported every step of the way.

In my 20s, I spotted a sign on the side of the road for permanent hair removal and decided to stop in. I didn’t know exactly what to expect, I just knew I had hair I wanted gone. I’d tried countless techniques over the years, but nothing gave me permanent results. When electrolysis proved to be permanent, I was hooked.
Before finding my path in electrolysis, I spent over 20 years owning and operating a movie theater with my sister. It was a fulfilling career and a wonderful way to stay connected to our community. When it came time for a new chapter, life lined things up in an unexpected way—my own electrologist was preparing to retire, and I happened to mention that I was exploring new opportunities. The timing couldn’t have been better.
Before long, I started training, and I haven’t looked back since. My background in entrepreneurship made the transition feel natural, and over time, I’ve only grown more passionate about this work. Every day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to help others feel the same relief and confidence I found.
Ella Holtz
Electrologist, CEP, & MBA
After graduating from college, I became a client. Electrolysis was something I’d been familiar with for years, thanks to tagging along to my mom’s appointments as a kid. I, too, am hairy and was looking for my own permanent solution. And that’s what got me, not just the process itself, but the fact that it worked. I love a treatment with clear permanence, and with electrolysis, that’s exactly what I got.
It didn’t take long before I started training and joined Body Solutions. I realized I was in the right place when I’d head home after a long day feeling happy, not cranky or annoyed. I wasn’t counting down to the weekend or my next vacation. I was just... content.
One of the things I value most about this work is the flexibility. I get to set my schedule in a way that works for me and my clients, which means I can show up for people, especially during hours that go beyond the usual 9 - 5.
